Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Gasunie sees itself as an active part of society - we want to be a good neighbour and build on the trust society has placed in us by pro-active dialogue.

Since 2010, we have been involved in disability sports - the Sportivation Day is the largest sport event in Lower Saxony for children and adolescents with a handicap Since 2010, we have been involved in disability sports - the Sportivation Day is the largest sport event in Lower Saxony for children and adolescents with a handicap

In addition to our core business, we also place importance in enabling the dialogue with our stakeholders, for example, our customers, business partners, the local community and politicians. We act both, sustainably, ethically and accordingly when it comes to our responsibility as a TSO. As an employer, we make sure that our people come first. We furthermore ensure to maintain a respectful and appreciative approach within Gasunie.

Maintaining our relationships

The public attitude towards energy is becoming increasingly important. We therefore try to be involved in activities that have an impact on the environment where we are active. By enabling a proactive dialogue, we try to increase public acceptance for our entrepreneurial activities. With the residents that live near our business locations, we have long standing relationships. Gasunie is seen as a "good neighbor", we encourage open contact and use opportunities as for example an "open day" to intensify our contacts. Furthermore, we acknowledge the local voluntary fire brigades to be a valuable partner, with whom we are cooperating for many years already and also support trough donations as well as youth work.

We promote opportunities relating to sports for children and adolescents with a disability

In the course of time we established a long-term partnership with the Disabled Sports Association of Lower Saxony. Today we also try to involve our employees by means of e.g. volunteering.

Gasunie Deutschland has also been sponsoring the Disabled Sports Association of Lower Saxony in 2017. Furthermore, we initiated and supported the annual day of the future and we are backing the voluntary fire departments at our local company locations.
