Public consultation on joint solution for managing cross-border capacity and oxygen issues

The expected conversion of natural gas pipelines to hydrogen pipelines in both Denmark and Germany will impact the natural gas markets going forward. Energinet and Gasunie Deutschland have developed a joint solution regarding pressure adjustment and establishment of a ‘biomethane zone’ in northern Germany. The solutionaims to ensure sufficient connection and capacity between Denmark and Germany as well as being economically efficient.

Your feedback on the consultation document will be important, as your insights and expertiseregarding the future use of cross-border capacity will help assess our proposed solution.
