Information on the Corona Virus
Against the background of the rapidly growing number of corona virus infections, Gasunie, as operator of a critical infrastructure in Germany and the Netherlands, is keeping a close eye on current developments.
In order to maintain our normal business operations and our supply mandate, we have given our employees instructions on travelling abroad, welcoming visitors, participating in events and (hygiene) measures to prevent infection. Our employees are increasingly taking advantage of the opportunities offered by flexible working models, such as home office, without this leading to restrictions in the quality of service for customers, authorities and other stakeholders. In addition, as an operator of a critical infrastructure, we have contingency plans for all business processes to ensure that we can always continue our activities without restrictions. We also bear a great responsibility for the protection of our employees.
Gasunie and the other German TSO regularly review the existing crisis and emergency management systems. This ensures a high level of supply security in the European network, particularly in crisis situations - even in the event of a pandemic.
At present, the German transmission system operators do not see any risk to the security of supply in Germany. The current situation around Corona has no effect on the secure supply of natural gas in Germany.
