Information on Art. 4.1, Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/703 (Network Code Interoperability)

We would like to inform our network users about the following facts and therefore fulfill our obligation to inform according to Art. 4.1, Commision Regulation (EU) 2015/703 of 30 April 2015 establishing a network code on interoperability and data exchange rules:

Rules for the matching process
Regarding the matching procedure, Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH applies the so-called „lesser-of rule“ at all relevant cross-border and market area interconnection points .

Rules for the allocation of gas quantities
Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH has established a so-called Operational Balancing Agreement (OBA) or an equivalent procedure on all of its relevant cross-border and market area interconnection points which allows to allocate gas volumes to its network users on the basis of their nominations (“allocated as nominated”). If the defined limits of the OBA are exhausted, then the adjacent transmission system operator may agree to extend those limits or otherwise to allocate quantities to network users proportionally based on the measured quantity (pro rata allocation).

Communication procedures in case of exceptional events
In the case of an exceptional event, Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH will   inform those network users, whose confirmed messages are affected by the event, about the impact on their confirmed quantities via a new nomination confirmation (NOMRES).

In the case the exceptional event is an Insider Information according to Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011, the possible impact and the expected and actual end of the exceptional event will be published via a so called urgent market message (UMM) on the website of Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH.
