Hannover, Groningen, 16 March 2010 | Press release
For the first time Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services (Gasunie Deutschland) and the Dutch Transmission Operator Gas Transport Services (GTS), also a full subsidiary of Gasunie, launch a joint purchasing process of fuel gas. The gas volumes are required for operating the transmission grids, in particular for use at compressor stations. By integrating the demand for transmission gas of the two daughter companies and executing this combined non-discriminatory, transparent and market-reflective tender Gasunie expects to optimize purchasing conditions.
Tendered are short term gas volumes for the current gas year 2009/2010 as well as for 2010/2011. For the supply period the indicative required volume mounts up to 780 Mio. kWh, split up in tranches of 30,000 kW.
As of now companies, which are interested in participating in this tender, have the opportunity to register for purchasing process. Relevant information is included in the “Request for Quotation”, which will be submitted after registration. A “Request for Information” is published on www.gasunie.de and www.gastransportservices.nl. Interested companies are requested to send their contact data before Monday, 22 March 2010, 05:00 p.m. Local European Time (German/Dutch Time) to both e-mail addresses email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants are further requested to indicate whether they are interested to supply Gasunie Deutschland (delivery point GASPOOL Hub), GTS (delivery point TTF) or both TSOs.

Profile of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (www.gasunie.nl)
Gasunie is a European gas infrastructure company. Our network ranks among the largest high pressure gas pipeline grids in Europe, consisting of over 15,000 kilometres of pipeline in the Netherlands and northern Germany, dozens of installations and approximately 1,300 gas receiving stations. Annual gas throughput totals approximately 125 billion cubic metres. We serve the public interest in the markets in which we are active and work to create value for our stakeholders.
Gasunie is the first independent gas transport provider with a cross-border network in Europe. We offer transport services via our subsidiaries Gas Transport Services B.V. (GTS) in the Netherlands and Gasunie Deutschland GmbH in Germany. We also offer other services in the gas infrastructure field, including gas storage and LNG. We consider the wishes of our customers to be of prime importance. We aim for the highest standards in safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability. Due to its reliability and strategic location in relation to expanding international gas flows, the Gasunie network forms the core of what is called the North West European 'gas roundabout'.
Gasunie Deutschland is a 100% Gasunie subsidiary and responsible for the management, the operation and the development of a long-distance pipeline grid in North Germany of around 3,100 kilometres. In total, Gasunie Deutschland employs about 210 employees. Because of its geographical location in the north of Germany, Gasunie Deutschland's transport network is part of the 'gas roundabout' function within the European natural gas transit system.
