With the conclusion of an entry contract with Gasunie the transmission customer shall be entitled to deliver a specific gas quantity per hour into Gasunie’s transportation network at the contracted entry point. Likewise the transmission customer shall be entitled to take a specific gas quantity per hour from Gasunie’s transportation network at the contracted exit point with the conclusion of an exit contract with Gasunie. The use of the contracted entry and/or exit capacities shall be subject to the contracted entry and/or exit point being included in a balancing group at the network system operator of the market area .
Gasunie accepts gas delivered at the entry points and makes it available in the allocated balancing group of the customer simultaneously and with equivalent energy content. In the same way the gas is redelivered at exit points from the allocated balancing group simultaneously and with equivalent energy content.
With entry into Gasunie’s transportation network the Virtual Trading Point of the market area GASPOOL to which the entry point is allocated is reached. Likewise with the exit gas quantities can be withdrawn from the Virtual Trading Point.
Entry or exit capacity may be booked on a firm or interruptible basis. Interruptible capacity is capacity that is booked by the transport customer on an interruptible basis pursuant Gasunie’s General Terms & Conditions in the respective valid version. The usage of the interruptible capacity may be interrupted by the network system operator.
Owner of interruptible capacity at market-area or cross-border points may quote offers within the auction process to convert the interruptible capacity into firm capacity. The transport customer may firmly define whether the interruptible capacity shall be replaced in total or pro-rata. Pro-rata conversion as well as the conversion of further interruptible capacity may be processed. Interruptible capacity at other points, that are not offered within the auction process (e.g. capacity at storage facilities) may be converted during the booking process. Further information with regard to the conversion can be found in Gasunie’s GT&Cs.
Additional capacity products
Beside the fully flexible firm and interruptible entry and exit capacities Gasunie offers additional capacity products to transmission customers. They are defined in the GT&Cs, section B: supplementary GT&Cs.
