Balancing Group Management

Balancing Group Management

Basics
A cornerstone of the gas grid access model is the creation and management of balancing groups in market areas. The management and operation of balancing groups at gas are effected according to this term:

BDEW/VKU/GEODE-Leitfaden Geschäftsprozesse zur Führung und Abwicklung von Bilanzkreisen bei Gas (21th August, 2008)

The cooperation of all involved network operators is a key for the balancing group management. The described processes in the guidelines are to apply from all network operators, if their networks are used to supply ultimate consumers. The balancing group network operator is responsible for the balancing group operating. The balancing group manager is responsible for the balancing group management.

The exchange of gas volumes between balancing groups is effected by the virtual point of the market areas GASPOOL and/or L-gas 1.
